History of Lambda Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.

Lambda Iota Iota continues to be an outstanding chapter of Omega Psi Phi by keeping the motto and cardinal principles established by the founders alive through service to humanity in the communities of Marlboro, Chesterfield and Richmond Counties.

Located in Bennettsville South Carolina established December 7, 1991 with fifteen Charter members. These outstanding men had a vision of starting a chapter in the Bennettsville area where they could live out the cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Uplift and Perseverance which the founding fathers of Omega Psi Phi established. Today our Motto remains as it was on that glorious day of November 17, 1911.

The initial officers are as follows:

 

1st Basileus:  Floyd B. Walker

Vice Basileus Thomas Kenley

1st KRS:  Daniel T. Terry

1st KOF: Julius Austin

 

Other charter members are: Roosevelt Windham, Charles H. Turner II, Harry Cain, Virgil Wells, John Scott, Kaysee Ashwood Jr., G. Lynn Moore, George Spears, Glen Manning, and Elmer Williams.
